Altis Recruitment is partnering with a client in the Education sector to support the hiring of an Academic Coordinator. This is a 3-month contract that may transition into a permanent role based on business needs and performance. The position is based in Toronto and requires on-site presence 5 days a week.

The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive administrative and accounting support to senior leadership, playing a key role in daily operations and broader business functions. This role combines executive support with operational coordination to ensure seamless processes and effective communication. Success requires strong organizational skills, initiative, and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities
  • Provide executive support to senior leadership, including scheduling, correspondence, and project assistance
  • Coordinate communications and liaise with partners and service providers
  • Manage bookkeeping tasks: accounts payable, receivable, bank reconciliations, electronic funds transfers
  • Assist with budget tracking, audit preparation, and financial documentation
  • Support planning and logistics for events, meetings, and co-curricular activities
  • Oversee office supplies, equipment, and filing systems
  • Assist with board communications and materials preparation
  • Welcome and guide temporary staff and visitors
  • Ensure compliance with organizational procedures and contribute to continuous improvement
