Job summary

The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto, Ontario, invites applications for a permanent full-time Academic Clinician in the Division of Rheumatology. The successful candidate will deliver exceptional pediatric rheumatology care and participate in scholarly work within a leading academic health science centre affiliated with the University of Toronto.

Applicants should have an MD/MBBS, subspecialty training in Rheumatology, and be eligible for Royal College certification and Ontario

Qualifications

Must hold an MD, MBBS or equivalent and be certified or eligible for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or have comparable qualification.
Must hold or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
Completed subspecialty training in Rheumatology.

Responsibilities

Deliver excellent clinical care to pediatric patients with rheumatic diseases.
Pursue scholarly academic work and contribute to research activities.
Teach and supervise learners including students, residents and fellows.
Attend divisional meetings and participate in the weekly academic half day, weekly Paediatric Grand Rounds, and other educational sessions.
Take part in divisional and departmental administrative duties and participate in CME events.
Clinical activities will include ambulatory clinics, inpatient consultations, and on-call responsibilities.
