Your opportunity:
The Department of Mathematical and Computational Sciences is an academic unit that includes mathematics, computer science and statistics. We can only realize our mission with the dedication and excellence of engaged staff and faculty. As an Academic Advisor and Undergraduate Program Administrator you will contribute to the academic success of our students, the smooth running of our courses and programs, and act as a vital resource to instructors on academic matters.
You will advise students on academic and personal matters impacting their academic success. The incumbent assists students with a wide range of academic issues and concerns, including interpretation of University policies and procedures, selecting courses and programs, meeting degree requirements, managing personal or health issues which impact their academic progress, and planning pathways for their future.
In addition, the incumbent provides administrative support for academic and curriculum matters to ensure smooth course and program delivery and compliance with University policies and procedures.
The work of the Academic Advisor and Undergraduate Program Administrator is accomplished through both scheduled and drop-in appointments.
