Abatement Labourer

Company Overview

Tlicho Logistics (TCL) is a 100% Indigenous-owned company, providing site services expertise, project management, maintenance services, and labourer personnel.


Job Summary

We are seeking reliable and safety-conscious Abatement Labourers to join our abatement team for the Giant Mine site core area building demolition project.


Responsibilities

  1. Abatement & Removal: Set up containment areas, safely remove and handle hazardous materials and follow regulatory requirements.
  2. Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, wear PPE, and follow OHS regulations and federal guidelines.
  3. Teamwork & Communication: Work effectively with crew members and communicate issues or hazards to site supervisors.
  4. Site Cleanup & Waste Disposal: Ensure proper cleanup and disposal of waste materials.

Qualifications & Skills

  • No experience required (full training provided), however, previous experience in hazardous material handling, demolition, labour work or construction is considered an asset
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs and performing manual labor
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, PPE usage, and hazardous material handling an asset
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights an asset

Certifications that you will obtain

  • WHMIS
  • Asbestos Worker Certification
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)
  • Fire Extinguisher Training
  • Spill Response

Working Conditions

  • Rotational schedule of 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off at 12-hour day-shift
  • Exposure to hazardous materials with strict adherence to safety protocols and use of PPE
