Job Type:

On-Going Part-time, Independent Contractor Position.

Hours:

All applicants MUST have availability for a minimum of 5 hours (2 x 2.5 hr sessions) on weeknights after school or on weekends.

Position Overview:

Side by Side Therapy is seeking skilled individuals for contract Instructor Therapist positions in Keswick and surrounding areas. Instructor Therapists will work one-on-one with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (or other developmental disabilities) in their homes, utilizing Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) strategies as directed by a Senior Therapist and RBA.

Responsibilities:

• Implement ABA sessions as directed by the RBA, following the client’s Individualized Service Plan (ISP) in the home or community setting.
• Record and graph data and notes required by the RBA.
• Communicate regularly with parents, team members, and the agency.
• Arrive on time and prepared for all sessions.
• Implement feedback from the RBA to enhance client outcomes.
• Other duties as assigned by the RBA.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 months experience as an Instructor Therapist or similar role, implementing ABA procedures under RBA supervision.
• Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members.
• Reliable transportation access.
• College Diploma or University Degree in a related field.

Assets:

• Completion of the Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) course or registration with BACB.
• ABA/Autism-related Diploma/Certificate.
• CPR / First Aid certification.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention or similar certification.
