Qualifications

  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate (A&P) required.
  • 3-5 years’ experience with turbine aircraft preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform line service, inspection, repair, and modification of aircraft.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and repairs on electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ensure airworthiness by adhering to FARs and company policies.

Job Profile

Aviation Maintenance - Mobile Response Team (MRT) Technician is available in Teterboro, NJ. The MRT Technician is responsible for working as a collaborative member of a Part-145 aviation maintenance team tasked with accomplishing various aspects of aircraft maintenance.

Your Responsibilities
  • Perform line service, inspection, repair, and modification of aircraft, systems, and components.
  • Use technical knowledge to efficiently repair aircraft discrepancies and properly document all work.
  • Operate comprehensive test equipment and special tools for inspections.
  • Research inspections, repair criteria, and parts requirements using computer systems.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and repairs on electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Inspect, rig, and adjust flight controls and control cables.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on our fleet of light and midsize jets.
  • Conduct annual inspections on piston engine aircraft.
  • Remove, install, rig, and adjust engine controls.
  • Refuel, de-fuel, and test aircraft fuel systems and components.
  • Perform aircraft pressurization checks.
  • Execute engine run-up and taxi checks.
  • Carry out sheet metal repairs.
  • Remove, clean, repair, and install upholstery.
  • Disassemble and reassemble main landing gear wheel assemblies.
  • Ensure airworthiness by adhering to FARs and company policies.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate (A&P).
  • 3-5 years’ experience with turbine aircraft.
  • Experience with Part 135 maintenance operations.
  • Formal airframe maintenance training.

Specific skills:

  • Ability to interpret manuals and internal RWA documents.
  • Proficiency in Windows operating environment.
  • Physical ability to work in tight spaces, at heights, on wings, using ladders, tugs, lifts, and lift weights up to 100 lbs.
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations related to aircraft maintenance.
  • Adherence to company policies and SOPs.
  • Willingness to work shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays; travel may be required.

The salary range is $90,000 - $114,000+ annually.
