Description of Duties:
Want to give back to your community? A & O: Support Services for Older Adults' Connect Program is looking for volunteers to provide social companionship to older adults living in the Downtown, Seven Oaks, St. James, Elmwood, and River East areas of Winnipeg in person. A & O currently requires volunteers who enjoy conversation and have strong conversational and interpersonal skills. If you can commit a minimum of one hour a week in the morning, afternoon, or evening, you can make a difference for an older adult living in our community. Skills Required:
- Strong conversational and interpersonal skills required
- Ability to work independently
- Completed criminal Record Search and Adult Abuse Registry check will be required of successful applicants, to be discussed

Time Commitment: Flexible Hours
Volunteers are free to complete phone calls and/or visits during mornings, afternoons, evenings, or weekends depending on the schedules of both the volunteer and the older adult.
