Altis Technology in Ottawa, Ontario is seeking a Senior Java Developer (Level 3) for a 1-year contract with up to three 1-year options. You will contribute to developing, modernizing, and transitioning cybersecurity analytics platforms for a federal government initiative.

Competenze

• Minimum 10 years of experience within the last 15 years as a Programmer or Software Developer.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience within the last 8 years developing web-based applications using Java and JavaScript, including React, with relational database backends.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience within the last 8 years performing UX design activities, including HTML and CSS markup and styling.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience within the last 7 years using IDEs such as Eclipse or IntelliJ.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience within the last 7 years working with Git repositories.
• Strong understanding of full-stack development, relational databases, and modern web technologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.

Job Title: Senior Java Developer (Level 3)

Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience within the last 15 years working as a Programmer or Software Developer.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience within the last 8 years developing web-based applications using Java and JavaScript, including React, with relational database backends.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience within the last 8 years performing UX design activities, including HTML and CSS markup and styling.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience within the last 7 years using integrated development environments, preferably Eclipse or IntelliJ.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience within the last 7 years working with source code repositories such as Git.
• Strong understanding of full-stack application development, relational databases, and modern web technologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.

Additional Assets

• Experience developing applications using Python within the last 8 years.
• Experience with build automation tools such as Ivy, Maven, or Gradle within the last 4 years.
• Experience working with GraphQL and JSON within the last 5 years.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, and collaboration platforms such as GitLab, GitHub, or Atlassian Confluence.
