A leading energy infrastructure client seeks a Senior Project Manager for SCADA Governance & Project Delivery. This contract role requires 8+ years of experience in managing complex infrastructure projects. Candidates will need a Bachelor's degree and strong SCADA knowledge, with the ability to lead high-level decision-making processes effectively.
Our Client, one of North America's leading energy infrastructure companies with operations in natural gas, oil and power industries throughout Canada, the United States, and Mexico has an immediate need for a Senior Project Manager SCADA Governance & Project Delivery. This is a contract position for six (6) months located in Calgary, Alberta. Description The Senior Project Manager SCADA Governance & Project Delivery will make decisions and recommendations on very high level projects or problems. They will use their judgment to interpret policy and draws upon past practice, industry knowledge and ingenuity to come up with a solution where there is more than one approach available. Seen as the expert with high technical knowledge and experience. Accountabilities: * Plan, direct, and report on infrastructure and other construction project activities by consistently monitoring project benefits, resources and status and creating documents such as project plans, action logs, communication plans, status reports and post implementation reviews so that the project is implemented as planned. * Develop project plans and risk management plans for medium to high risk and highly complex infrastructure or other construction. * Manage multiple activities effectively such as quality assurance, engineering, stakeholder engagement, communication, regulatory approvals, procurement, planning and controls, construction management, pre-commissioning, employee relations, and safety by using project management principles in monitoring progress and establishing standards for implementation to keep the project within allotted time and budget. * Complete project management activities including scoping, planning, managing, monitoring, and reporting on project tasks by using advanced skills in Microsoft Office as well as project management programs to fulfill business needs. * Maintain meaningful relationships with stakeholders including customers, engineers and field crews through regular communication using excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills enabling timely progression of projects. * Establish standards for implementation and monitoring using excellent analytical skills and a comprehensive knowledge of project management practices and procedures to optimize project resources. Required: * 8+ years of project management experience or equivalent of medium to high risk and highly complex infrastructure or other construction projects * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or related discipline * Demonstrated strong understanding of SCADA processes, best practices, standards, as well as control and operating procedures, SCADA design, and commissioning activities for projects. * Project Management Professional (PMP) designation, preferred * Oil and Gas project experience is an asset. * Full project lifecycle experience * Familiar with stakeholder engagement (such as First Nations, other municipalities etc.) * Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project) * Advanced English skills for professional environment, written and spoken If you're a technical professional, you know that at RAISE an Ian Martin Group Company, we exist to connect professionals like you with meaningful work at industry-leading companies in your field.
