Role: EDI Developer

Location: Toronto, ON (Fully Remote)

Duration: Contract 6+ months

Job Description:

A Senior IT Specialist is responsible for the operational and administrative activities of the EDI systems along with providing technical support in the design / development of new and complex flows.

Responsibilities

Co-ordination across multiple teams for activities like disaster recovery, database upgrades, AIX server patching etc.

Research and troubleshoot EDI system issues and work with EDI Support to ensure system is up and running.

Create and maintain documentation such as Solution Design Document, Technical Design Document, Operational Manual for existing and new EDI solutions.

Responsible for administering system maintenance, upgrade, and performance tuning of existing EDI systems.

Collaborates with EDI Developers and One IT to convert business requirements into technical requirements.

Troubleshoot issues related to application, business processes, mapping etc.

Prepare guidelines and documentation for standardizing EDI development process to ensure highest quality.

Assist EDI Intake Teams & EDI Migration Teams with technical queries related to mapping, business processes, XSLT development etc.

Responsible for installation and documentation of any new products that are added to the EDI landscape to improve the system capabilities and delivery times for EDI projects.

Requirements

5 years of experience in IBM Sterling Integrator and Sterling Secure Proxy

2 years of experience in IBM Sterling Transformation eXtender/Sterling Transformation eXtender Advanced

Must have experience in designing and building complex flows in IBM Sterling Integrator using Business Processes, XSLTs, Maps etc

Good knowledge of EDI standards like UN/EDIFACT or ANSI-X12

Good knowledge of XML and JSON

Strong fundamental understanding of communication protocols: FTP, SFTP, HTTP, HTTPS, AS2, Web services (SOAP and REST) etc
