Job summary

Callisto Recruitment is seeking motivated 4th-year Electrical Apprentices to join the ITA2 Project at the Kearl Site near Fort McKay, Alberta. Working under Journeypersons and Foremen, you will develop trade skills while contributing to the installation and commissioning of industrial electrical systems on a major construction project.

The role requires Alberta 4th Year Electrical Apprentice registration (or provincial equivalent), CSTS 2020 and WHMIS, ability to work safely in an industrial

Qualifications

• Registered Alberta 4th Year Electrical Apprentice (or provincial equivalent).
• Valid CSTS 2020 and WHMIS certification.
• Ability to work safely in an industrial construction environment.
• Basic understanding of electrical drawings and the Canadian Electrical Code.
• Previous industrial electrical construction experience preferred.
• Oil sands or mining experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of industrial electrical systems and equipment.
• Install conduit, cable tray, cable, grounding systems, lighting, junction boxes, and electrical equipment.
• Assist with cable pulling, equipment terminations, and system installations.
• Read and interpret drawings under the guidance of Journeypersons.
• Support testing, commissioning, and turnover activities.
