Job summary

Sunrise Farms in Manitoba's Winnipeg region is seeking a seasoned maintenance leader to support the Chief Engineer, Maintenance Manager, and Plant Manager. You will liaise with multiple departments to determine repairs and ensure reliable operations across our poultry facilities.

Key duties include operating and maintaining utilities equipment (ammonia refrigeration, boiler, HVAC), leading projects to boost capability and safety, coordinating with QA to enforce GMPs and HACCP, and maintaining

Qualifications

Certified 4th Class Power Engineer with Manitoba certification.
Experience in manufacturing leadership roles (3–5 years).
Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration.
Knowledge of mechanical engineering, facilities management and project management.
Familiarity with CMMS systems is an asset.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain utilities equipment including refrigeration, boilers, and HVAC.
Lead projects to meet capability, safety and efficiency goals.
Coordinate with QA to enforce GMPs and HACCP.
Maintain operation logbooks and prepare equipment for inspections.
Ensure fire safety equipment is maintained and city wastewater rules are followed.
Liaise with departments to support plant operations.
