Job summary

Johnson Electric in Stratford, ON is seeking a skilled Electrician for an onsite role. You will assemble electrical panels, install and support automated systems, troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic circuits, and collaborate with controls technicians on PLC, robotics, and vision system setups.

• Certificate of Qualification as an Electrician (442A or 309A) or equivalent experience.
• 3 to 5 years plus of experience in industrial electrical or automation environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and pneumatic schematic drawings.
• Experience with PLC systems, VFDs, servo systems, and industrial controls.
• Understanding of electrical codes, safety circuits, and networked safety systems.

What We’re Looking For

• Certificate of Qualification as an Electrician (442A or 309A) or equivalent experience.
• 3 to 5 years plus of experience in industrial electrical or automation environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and pneumatic schematic drawings.
• Experience with PLC systems, VFDs, servo systems, and industrial controls.
• Understanding of electrical codes, safety circuits, and networked safety systems.
• Familiarity with industrial communication networks (Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, IO-Link, AS-i).
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Bonus Points If You Have

• Experience with electrical design.
• Exposure to robotics or advanced automation systems.
• Experience working in global or multi-site project environments.
