Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in a heavy industrial setting as a Millwright.
• Knowledge of hoisting and rigging considered a strong asset.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.

• Perform welding, cutting, brazing using different techniques.

Location: Acton, ON

Term: Full-Time, Permanent
Starting Wage: $43.04/hr with shift premiums of $1.25/hr for Afternoon and Night Shifts
Shift Schedule: Weekly rotation of Monday to Friday (6AM to 3:00PM, 2:45PM to 11:45PM, or 10:30PM to 7:30AM)

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain equipment in proper operating condition through preventative and corrective maintenance, supporting during breakdowns.
• Responsible for project work (process and/or continuous improvement, reliability) and part of the annual shutdown team responsible for overhauls.
• Troubleshoot and maintain (repair, overhaul, install, replace) equipment such as belt conveyors, screw conveyors, dust collectors, pumps, pneumatic gates and actuators, compressors, boilers & water heaters, and similar equipment.
• Perform welding, cutting, brazing using different techniques and metals.
• Troubleshoot and maintain transmission systems from motors to gearboxes, sheaves/pulleys, shafts, bearings.
• Remove outdated and unused equipment as assigned.
• Perform housekeeping duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Valid 433A Millwright License
• 5 years of experience in a heavy industrial setting as a Millwright.
• Experience in welding, cutting, brazing using different techniques and metals.
• Hoisting and Rigging knowledge (considered a strong asset).
• Ability to read and follow blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and work procedures.
