Reports To: Shop Manager
Location: Head Office, Etobicoke

The 421A Technician will diagnose the causes of breakdown, ordering required parts, removal, rework and installation of various engine and chassis components, as well as implementing and/or modifying maintenance schedules. Work assignments will be received in the form of oral or written work orders, but the Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be expected to determine the nature and extent of the necessary repairs.

Travel Requirements: To off-site locations will be required
Physical Environment: 20% shop, 80% construction site visits. Moderate exposure to disagreeable elements (such as inclement weather).
Physical Demands: High. Manual activities, bending, twisting, lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Physical hazards associated with the trade.
Mental Effort: Moderate intensity. Occasional challenges that demand higher level focus.
