Job Description

Pridestaff is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician III for a manufacturing company located in Ontario, CA. This is a full-time, contract to permanent position with opportunities for growth. Please see the job requirements below to be considered.

  • Hourly Pay Range: $30-$33 (depending on experience)
  • Shift: 12pm to 12am Monday - Friday, with the first 4 weeks on the 1st shift 7am to 3:30pm, M-F (overtime mandatory)

Job Summary: Essential to our client’s packaging operations, the Maintenance Technician III is responsible for maintaining production machinery and equipment, the physical plant, utilities, and grounds. Major duties include conducting and refining preventive maintenance programs, supporting plant modernization and expansion projects, ensuring compliance with regulations, and improving equipment reliability. Responsible for safety, production, quality, food safety, and performance standards.

Job Duties/Requirements:

  • Follow safety guidelines, wear PPE, and meet OSHA requirements.
  • Use Maintimizer to manage work orders and complete tasks.
  • Support daily service calls and plant activities to maintain operations.
  • Work with the maintenance parts clerk to identify replacement parts.
  • Complete assigned work orders and maintenance responsibilities.
  • Work independently on tasks.
  • Perform work safely and ensure operational safety of equipment.
  • Maintain the physical plant, grounds, machinery, and utilities per regulations and standards.
  • Conduct safety inspections, work orders, and preventive maintenance.
  • Handle projects, repairs, and improvements, and maintain preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Organize work for efficiency; track time and materials used.
  • Manage hazardous waste and materials properly.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs.
  • Obtain approval for maintenance purchases and follow procedures.
  • Maintain tools in good condition and store properly.
  • Flexibility for shift changes, overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • Lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years at a technical or trade school preferred.
  • Five years relevant experience; Journeyman level in electrician, millwright, hydraulics, pneumatics, or piping.
  • Experience with plumbing, electrical systems, conveyors, PLCs, troubleshooting, presses, and converting equipment.
  • Basic computer skills required.
