Job description

Produce sales gains by providing excellent customer service.

Objectives:

  • Meet or exceed company objectives in all individual statistics.
  • Provide consistent, documented appraisals of associates’ sales performance, offering feedback on strengths and opportunities aligned with company goals.
  • Adhere to visual guidelines, including proper merchandising, signage, and store cleanliness.
  • Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the dress code policy.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Control Expenses
  • Protect company assets according to LIDS Retail policies.
  • Assist in preparing store schedules that ensure proper coverage within wage control guidelines.
  • Manage store inventory accurately, including receiving, transferring, price changes, and product counts.
  • Maintain proper documentation and record keeping in compliance with policies and legal requirements.
  • Open and close the store following procedures outlined in the Operations Manual.
  • Support and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Participate in training programs, set sales and task goals, and follow up regularly.
  • Assist in recruiting and training store personnel on store operations.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, including inventory and funds security.
  • Perform duties of subordinates as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Job Required Knowledge & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent plus at least one year of relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to generate sales while minimizing loss.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer operation and relevant software.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work with hands overhead.
  • Standing for up to 100% of work time.
  • Ability to work independently.
Preferred Knowledge & Skills

Education: Less than high school graduate, high school graduate or equivalent.
