Description:

ATCO Frontec is seeking a 3rd Cook to join our kitchen team in Resolute Bay, NU. The 3rd Cook is responsible for preparing a wide variety of foods including breakfast.

Working on a rotation of 4 weeks on/4 weeks off, 7 days a week, with all travel paid. The hourly wage is $22/hour.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all meal prep is organized and completed as required. All dishes are prepared and severed to the highest standard
• Assist in stocking of all food serving areas according to the number of persons to be served, with a focus on quality, appearance, adequate stocking levels, and minimizing leftovers and product waste.
• Prepares and cooks food according to standardized recipes, ensuring food is cooked at the proper temperature and at the proper length of time.
• Maintains established food rotations in storage in order to minimize spoilage and waste
• Operates food services equipment in a safe manner and according to established policies and procedures.
• Follows principles of sanitation and safety in handling food, work area and equipment
• Ensure that all prepared products are correctly recorded on daily kitchen logs for hot and cold holding, temperature logs and daily cleaning schedules.
• Acts in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner in all customer and employee interactions.

Qualifications:

• Completion of a college or other post-secondary program in cooking is considered an asset
• Valid food safety certificate is required
• 2-3 years’ experience as 3rd cook or line cook in the Camp/Hotel/Restaurant industry
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Professional communication skills, oral, and written
• Work well under pressure

Compensation:
