Job Summary:

Ainsworth is looking to add a 3rd Class Power Engineer to the growing Toronto-GTA team. As the 3rd Class Power Engineer, you will conduct routine inspections, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs. In addition, you will work closely with the VP of Electromechanical Services to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, along with other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain four (4) 2MW generators, compressors, and other related equipment
  • Conduct routine inspections and troubleshoot mechanical issues
  • Monitor system controls and adjust parameters to optimize efficiency
  • Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
  • Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance, and repairs

Qualifications:

  • Valid Third-Class Power Engineer certificate
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in an industrial or plant setting
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and standard operating procedures
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends
