Salary Range: $38.45 - $45.84

Position purpose: Reporting to the Manager, this position maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs mechanical devices and HVAC systems across campus to optimize equipment lifespan.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Perform physical inspections of building service rooms and areas.
  2. Verify environmental controls and ensure readings are within standards.
  3. Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs seasonally.
  4. Conduct mechanical maintenance such as filter and belt changes, greasing, etc.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Third Class Operating Engineer license issued by TSSA.
  • Experience in operating and maintaining building systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or in teams.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and building HVAC systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints and manuals.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, on ladders, or scaffolds, and lift under 30 kg.
  • Bilingual in French and English is an asset.
