Job summary

Techmation Electric & Controls Ltd. is seeking an experienced 3rd/4th class power engineering operator for a 7/7 shift in Fort St John, BC. Applicants must reside within commuting distance as no camp is provided.

Ideal candidates have gas plant operations experience and a 4th class ticket with H2S Alive, CSO, and First Aid certifications. We value strong teamwork, safety, and proactive work ethic in a fast-paced oil & gas environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold 4th class power engineering ticket or higher.
• Previous experience in gas plant operations.
• Experience with Ifpexol refrigeration and related gas treatment processes.
• Current Standard First Aid Level 1, Energy Safety Canada H2S Alive and CSO certificates.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team.
• Must live within commuting distance of Fort St John.

Job description

Techmation Electric & Controls is looking for a driven, experienced 3rd and 4th class Power Engineering operators to join our team. The individuals must be knowledgeable about current OH&S legislation, and conversant with the industry standards and practices of today’s safety-focused oil & gas sector.

This is a plant position offering a 7/7 shift. No truck is required. Applicants must live within commuting distance of Fort St John to be considered as no camp available for this opportunity.

Requirements:

• Must have either 4th class power engineering ticket or better
• Previous experience in gas plant operations
• Previous experience in Ifpexol refrigeration. Sulphinol sweetening. Acid gas injection. Condensate stabilization. Gas driven power generation, an asset.
• Current Standard First Aid Level 1, Energy Safety Canada H2S Alive and CSO certificates are a requirement
• Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work within a team environment
• Must be self motivated with the ability to work alone and complete routine tasks
• Must live within commuting distance of Fort St John to be considered
