Qualifications

  • Experience in multi‑unit residential or commercial electrical work.
  • Able to climb and work at heights, with a good understanding of safety protocols.
  • Previous solar work experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform continuous tasks throughout all phases of the project.
  • Test electrical systems and ensure compliance with codes and safety standards.
  • Assist in the installation of commercial electrical systems.

Multi‑Unit Residential Experience we would like you to bring to the table:
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and schematics.
  • Ability to perform continuous tasks throughout all phases of project.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and identify faults in wiring, circuits, and equipment.
  • Able to provide own material lists, and/or receive delivery of material.
  • Take guidance and instructions from Foreman/Lead-hands or journeypersons on site.
  • Test electrical systems and equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
  • Ensure all work complies with provincial and national electrical codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
Commercial/Industrial Experience we would like you to bring to the table:
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and schematics.
  • Experience with bending and installing EMT conduit.
  • Assist with distribution installation/transformer wiring when needed.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and identify faults in wiring, circuits, and equipment.
  • Assist in the installation of commercial electrical systems (lighting, power, fire alarm, etc.).
  • Experience with previous Solar work is considered an asset.
  • Take guidance and instructions from Foreman/Lead-hands or journeypersons on site.
  • Test electrical systems and equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
  • Ensure all work complies with provincial and national electrical codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
Working Conditions:
  • This position requires climbing, working at heights, and/or working within confined spaces.
  • Outdoor field work occurs in adverse weather conditions and has a normal hazard associated with construction sites.
  • This position requires the ability to safely handle tools and materials such as ladders, solar panels, panel boards, and other similar electrical equipment and supplies.
  • This position requires performing repetitious duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
Safety Certifications that we look for (however if you do not have them all we would schedule an in-house training session; it is not a deal breaker):
  • First Aid
  • WHMIS
  • Fall Protection
  • Lift Training
  • Confined Spaces is considered an asset.

It is possible that you may undergo Government of Canada Security Screening to obtain a Security Clearance for certain projects, based on need.
