Job summary

ADF Group is seeking a drafting and validation professional to analyze 3D models and generate accurate shop drawings and CNC files. You will ensure data integrity, extract reports, and collaborate with engineering, production, and projects teams to improve processes.

Responsibilities include producing technical documentation, validating components, and supporting operations with BIM standards and best practices. Fluency in French and English is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma required: high school or DEP in industrial drafting.
• 1–3 years of experience in 3D modeling or steel structure detailing.
• Experience with Tekla Structures or similar software (Revit, SolidWorks, Advance Steel).
• Proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel).
• Excellent written and spoken French and English.

Desired Qualifications

• High school diploma or a vocational diploma (DEP) in industrial drafting
• 1 to 3 years of experience in 3D modeling, steel structure detailing, or a related field
• Experience with Tekla Structures (or similar software: Revit, SolidWorks, Advance Steel) (ab asset )
• Proficiency with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel)
• Excellent communication skills in French and English (spoken and written)

Knowledge and Skills

• Good understanding of the product development cycle (analysis, design, validation, production)
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, shop drawings, and schematics (mechanical, structural, or piping)
• Good knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes, materials, and digital manufacturing environments (CNC, DSTV files, etc.)
• Ability to design, modify, and optimize technical parts or assemblies
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a rigorous approach
• Strong prioritization skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Team player who thrives in a multidisciplinary environment
• Independence, initiative, and the ability to adapt to new technologies
