Job summary

Egis Canada is seeking an Intermediate Structural Designer in Calgary to support structural engineering deliverables for energy-sector projects. You will develop 3D models, prepare drawings for steel, concrete, piling and foundations, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, advanced proficiency in Autodesk Advance Steel and Intergraph CADWorx Structure, and readiness to travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• Engineering Design and Drafting Diploma or Civil Engineering Technology Diploma.
• Minimum 5 years of direct or related structural drafting and design experience.
• Experience with oil & gas or energy sector engineering firms.
• Advanced proficiency with Advance Steel and CADWorx Structure.
• Experience producing drawings for structural steel, concrete, piling and foundations.
• Strong CAD standards and documentation practices.
• Ability to coordinate with engineers and stakeholders on design criteria.
• Travel to project sites and field locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain 3D structural models using Advance Steel and CADWorx Structure.
• Produce drawings for steel, concrete, piling and foundations.
• Create BOMs to support project execution and procurement.
• Participate in model reviews and implement feedback.
• Perform drafting quality control per standards and specs.
• Coordinate interfaces with other disciplines and stakeholders.
• Support proposal development and estimating activities.
• Mentor junior drafters and contribute to drafting standards.
