Job summary

The City of Burlington is seeking a 310T Truck and Coach Mechanic to maintain and repair transit coaches and support vehicles in a safe, efficient manner. You will report to the Manager of Transit Maintenance and be responsible for electrical, engine, transmission, brake, and HVAC systems, along with documentation and tool readiness.

Applicants must hold a 310T certificate, a valid Class G license (Ontario C/B with Z endorsement desirable), and provide a complete hand tool set.

Qualifications

• Valid Class G driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Must possess a 310T Truck and Coach Mechanics Certificate.
• Ability to acquire Ontario C or B license with Z air brake endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance and repairs on transit coaches,HVAC, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Perform MTO inspections and provide accurate written reports.
• Use diagnostic tools and interpret wiring schematics.
