Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a full-time, permanent 310T Mechanic to be based at the Haldimand, York, ON Facility. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy diesel trucks and equipment.

You will service a variety of trailers and machinery, complete daily reports and coordinate repairs, while upholding safety and company policies. A GED or high school diploma and a valid 310T license are required, with at least one year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience as a 310T Mechanic.
• Full 310T License.
• High school diploma or GED; technical diploma desired.
• Must be computer literate and able to learn software systems.
• Must be able to meet safety sensitive requirements per company standards.
• Experience using diagnostic software a plus.
• Demonstrate ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain records.

GFL is looking for full-time, permanent 310T Mechanic to be based out of the Haldimand, York, ON Facility. The Company offers full operational and safety training.

Job Duties

• Diagnose and repair operational difficulties with heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment

• Maintain and repair heavy diesel equipment, live bottom trailers, end dump trailers, tanker trailers and vehicles.

• Service a variety of payloaders, excavators, and agricultural tractors and implements.

• Complete reports, work orders, and perform other administrative duties daily as required.

• Assist in the review of mechanical write-ups on equipment and coordinate repair schedule

• Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with all safety regulations

• Utilize a variety of power and hand tools and equipment

• Possess, provide, and maintain tools necessary to perform tasks related to maintenance on heavy/hydraulic equipment

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); technical diploma desired

• Minimum of one (1) year experience as a 310T Mechanic

• Full 310T License

• Must be computer literate, able to be trained on software systems and willing to learn.

• Must be able to meet relevant criteria for safety sensitive functions according to Company standards

• Experience using diagnostic software a plus

• Conform in all respects with applicable federal, state/provincial, and local laws, regulations ordinances, and other orders and to all company policies, procedures and directives from supervisors.

• Demonstrate ability to follow detailed instructions, work independently and maintain accurate records

• Ability to operate any vehicle or equipment necessary to perform job

• Possess physical ability to perform all aspects of job
