Waste Connections of Canada is a leader in non-hazardous solid waste management in North America. We are seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic - 310T for our Kingston facility.

$5,000.00 Signing Bonus

Monday-Friday day shift

Our priority is hiring mechanics who care about driver safety and community service. Responsibilities include:

• Performing repairs, inspections, safety checks, diagnosis, and repairs on electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on diesel vehicles.
• Using vehicle computer systems to interpret failure modes and adjust Engine and Vehicle Control modules.
• Responding to road calls for emergency repairs.
• Reviewing and completing repairs based on driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
• Completing paperwork using fleet maintenance software.
• Test driving trucks after repairs.
• Assisting team members with repairs as needed.
• Interacting professionally and courteously with drivers.
• Adhering to safety standards from the Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Environment, and Waste Connections of Canada.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Licensed 310T Mechanic
• Proficiency with diesel diagnostic tools, preventive maintenance, and repairs
• Basic tool set
• Valid Class DZ or AZ / Class 3F or 3A license or ability to obtain within 90 days
• Hydraulic experience is a plus
• Ability to pass pre-employment requirements
