Job description

Rush Truck Centres of Canada is part of Rush Enterprises, the largest commercial vehicle dealership group in North America. With 15 locations in Ontario and nearly 600 employees and growing, we are seeking top talent to join our team.

We are hiring Licensed and Apprentice 310T Diesel Mechanics / Technicians for our dealership located at 260 Dunkirk Rd, ON L2R 7K6. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Reporting to the Service Manager, the role involves diagnosing problems and repairing all types of trucks, buses, trailers, and other automotive vehicles.

Responsibilities
  1. Ensure compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations and the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
  2. Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
  3. Read job orders, observe and listen to vehicles in operation to determine malfunctions, and plan work procedures.
  4. Perform general and detailed repairs of trucks, engines, and components.
  5. Inspect protective guards, loose bolts, and safety devices on trucks, making adjustments as needed.
  6. Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty.
  7. Attend training sessions and stay updated with factory technical bulletins.
  8. Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
  1. Licensed or Registered Apprentice (310T or 310S).
  2. Good communication skills and work attitude.
  3. Quality-driven approach.
  4. SAP experience is an asset.
  5. Valid Driver's License and a good driving record.
  6. Criminal Record Check.
  7. Driver's Abstract.
  8. AZ / DZ License is an asset.
