Job description

Rush Truck Centres of Canada is a part of Rush Enterprises, the largest commercial vehicle dealership group in North America. With 15 locations in Ontario and almost 600 employees and growing, we are looking for top talent to join our team.

We are looking for Licensed and Apprentice 310T Diesel Mechanics/Technicians for our Sudbury dealership located at 1035 Falconbridge Rd, Sudbury, ON P3A 4M9. This is a full-time permanent position.

Reporting to the Service Manager, this position is responsible to diagnose problems and make repairs to all types of trucks, buses, trailers, and other automotive vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations, as well as the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
  • Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment
  • Read job order, observe and listen to the vehicle in operation to determine malfunction and plan work procedures.
  • Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines, and components.
  • Document work performed.
  • Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
  • Examine protective guards, loose bolts and specified safety devices on trucks and make adjustments as needed.
  • Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty.
  • Attend training classes and keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Other duties may be assigned


Basic Qualifications

  • Licensed or Registered Apprentice (310T or 310S)
  • Good communication skills and work attitude
  • Quality Driven
  • SAP experience is an asset
  • Valid Driver's License and a good driving record
  • Criminal Record Check
  • Driver's Abstract
  • AZ/DZ License is an asset
