Rush Truck Centres of Canada - Diesel Mechanics/Technicians

Rush Truck Centres of Canada, part of Rush Enterprises - North America's largest commercial vehicle dealership group - is seeking talented Licensed and Apprentice 310T Diesel Mechanics/Technicians for our Pembroke dealership located at 17 Brandon Ave, Pembroke, ON K8A 6W5. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Reporting to the Service Manager, your primary responsibility will be diagnosing problems and repairing trucks, buses, trailers, and other automotive vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations and company policies.
  • Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
  • Read job orders, observe vehicle operation, and plan work procedures.
  • Perform general and detailed repairs on trucks, engines, and components.
  • Document all work performed.
  • Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
  • Inspect and adjust safety devices and protective guards on trucks.
  • Tag and save parts under warranty.
  • Attend training sessions and stay updated with factory technical bulletins.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
  • Licensed or Registered Apprentice (310T or 310S).
  • Good communication skills and positive work attitude.
  • Quality-driven approach.
  • SAP experience is an asset.
  • Valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
  • Criminal Record Check and Driver's Abstract.
  • AZ/DZ License is an asset.
