Job description

Emcon Services Inc. is a proud Canadian-based company with over 30 years of success as an interprovincial road and bridge maintenance contractor. We currently have an opportunity for enthusiastic individuals to join our mechanical team as a 310T Certified Technician for our Mississauga, Ontario division.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct annual safety inspections, perform repairs, and follow our preventative maintenance program on trucks, trailers, and equipment.
• Perform duties as assigned by leadhand/Mechanical Superintendent.

Qualifications include:

• Licensed Truck & Coach Mechanic (310T).
• Registered for DriveOn portal.
• Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence.
• Experience with Preventative Maintenance Programs.
• Knowledge in engine/emission diagnostics, electrical diagnostics, and repair.
• Experience with heavy truck hydraulics, pneumatics, brakes, suspension, and steering.
• Experience with Bosch Rexroth salt management system.
• Fabrication and welding skills are an asset.
• Good knowledge of trade-related worksite safety.
• Experience with industry-related heavy-duty equipment such as gravel trucks, snow-plow trucks, loaders, graders, sweepers, mowers, backhoes, tractors, etc.
• Ability to work overtime as required and perform call-outs for vehicle breakdowns.
