Job summary

General Dynamics Land Systems-Canada is hiring multiple 310S or 310T Licensed Vehicle Technicians for permanent, salaried roles. You will provide technical assistance to customers, conduct inspections, and perform repairs on Light Armoured Vehicles.

The role requires a 310S or 310T license, ability to travel internationally, strong communication, organization and teamwork, and the capacity to work with heavy equipment and in confined spaces. Primary day shift with potential for off-shift.

Qualifications

• 310S or 310T license required.
• Ability to travel domestically/internationally.
• Proficient communication, organization and prioritization.
• Experience working with teams and/or customers.
• Able to work in confined spaces and meet size restrictions; perform physical tasks.
• Ability to drive a forklift and operate portable cranes and other material handling equipment.
• Primary day shift with potential for off-shift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice, guidance and technical assistance on vehicle maintenance and repair procedures.
• Assist in the development of repair estimates.
• Conduct technical inspections and troubleshoot automotive systems.
• Perform repairs, modifications and retrofits on Light Armoured Vehicles.
• Liaise with customers for resolution of data and technical problems.
• Monitor parts usage and report material issues.
• Prepare inputs for management and log reports.
• Support projects budgets and status tracking.
• Provide on-site technical, test and repair support to customers as required.
• Lead repair team when required; instruct and inspect repairs of others on site.

$31.00 - $43.00/hour based on experience.

Required Qualifications

• 310S or 310T License; or equivalent
• Ability to support our customer throughCanadian/international travel, including in areas of operational deployment with ourcustomers
• Proficient communication, organization and prioritization skills
• Experience working with teams and/or customers
• Must be able to work in confined spaces and meet Anthropometrical Size Restrictions, and perform physical tasks – i.e. lifting, climbing
• Ability to drive a Fork Truck and operate Portable Cranes and other material handling equipment
• Primary day shift with potential to work off-shift according to new business requirements
