Job summary

Thomas Cavanagh Construction Limited is seeking a full-time 310B Auto Body and Collision Damage Repairer to join our fleet and maintenance team in Ontario. Shift is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, reporting to the Shop Supervisor.

Responsibilities include repairing trucks, vans, trailers, and construction equipment, performing fiberglass and metalwork, and ensuring safety through proper PPE and WHMIS adherence. Tools supplied must be brought by the employee.

Qualifications

  • Valid Ontario 310B Auto Body and Collision Damage Repairer License is mandatory.
  • 2–5 years of auto body repair experience to apply.
  • Knowledge of OEM repair standards, metal forming, refinishing, and structural repair methods.
  • Experience with MIG welding, spot welding, and plastic repair techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Repair dents, panels, frames, fenders, and body components using industry-standard tools.

Overview:

We are looking for a full-time 310B Auto Body and Collision Damage Repairer to join our fleet and maintenance team. The shift would be from Monday to Friday from 7:00AM to 5:00PM. This position would be reporting to our Shop Supervisor.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural and non-structural repairs on trucks, vans, trailers, and construction-related vehicles.
  • Repair dents, panels, frames, fenders, and body components using industry-standard tools and equipment.
  • Conduct fibreglass, aluminum, and metalwork repairs as required.
  • Remove, replace, and adjust body components including doors, hoods, grills, bumpers, and trim.
  • Inspect vehicles for structural integrity, corrosion issues, and safety concerns.

  • Work closely with the fleet maintenance team to schedule repairs and prioritize urgent jobs.
  • Communicate repair timelines, issues, and recommendations to supervisors.
  • Support broader fleet projects and maintenance initiatives as required.

Requirements:

  • Valid Ontario 310B Auto Body and Collision Damage Repairer License (mandatory).
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in auto body repair (construction or heavy equipment fleet experience is an asset).
  • Strong knowledge of OEM repair standards, metal forming, refinishing, and structural repair methods.
  • Experience with MIG welding, spot welding, and plastic repair techniques.
  • Ability to read technical diagrams, damage reports, and repair manuals.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Valid Ontario G-Class driver's licence (DZ is an asset).
  • Must supply own tools.
  • Experience mentoring apprentices or junior technicians is considered an asset.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work including standing, bending, and working in confined or elevated spaces.

Wage Range:

The hourly range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $30.00 and $38.00 per year. However, the range offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
