Our Member is looking to hire a 306A Licensed Plumber.

We are seeking a 306A Licensed Plumber to lead and organize projects in Guelph, ON.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support project needs as identified by the Field Manager or Journeyperson 2.
  • Execute trade work safely, professionally, and efficiently.
  • Train and support Apprentices or other Journeypersons under supervision.
  • Perform plumbing, pipe fitting, cutting, coring, trenching, measuring, layout, paperwork, and related tasks.

Performance Expectations

General Expectations:

  • Proactively learn and understand Health and Safety legislation and policies.
  • Understand duties as a supervisor per Ontario Ministry of Labour legislation.
  • Warn or rectify unsafe conditions.
  • Supervise Apprentices or Journeypersons as directed, complying with safety requirements.
  • Be punctual and flexible with project needs.
  • Follow all policies and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and management.

Position Specific Expectations:

  • Work at various locations, including construction sites and facilities.
  • Receive and execute work based on supervisor instructions.
  • Clarify scope of work before starting.
  • Ensure work is safe, professional, and within timeframes.
  • Provide technical guidance to less experienced workers.
  • Complete administrative and project paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Coordinate with other trades and clients.
  • Continuously upgrade trade skills and technical knowledge.

Job Skills & Qualifications

Required:

  • Completed 306A Plumbing Apprenticeship and Red Seal Certification.
  • Proficiency with the National Plumbing Code and local codes.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Preferred:

  • WHMIS Certification.
  • Working at Heights Certification.
