Job summary

Analog Mechanical Ltd. is seeking an Apprentice Plumber / Gas Fitter to gain hands-on experience while working with Journeypersons on plumbing systems in multi-family residential and commercial buildings.

You will learn to install, repair, and maintain systems, read blueprints, follow safety protocols, and pursue Red Seal certification, with overtime opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Registered apprentice with the Alberta Industry Training (AIT) or willing to register.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Good problem-solving, attention to detail, and safety mindset.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in multi-family residential and commercial buildings.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings (2nd to 4th year).
  • Troubleshoot plumbing issues and diagnose system failures.
  • Follow safety protocols and company procedures on job sites.

What You’ll Do
  • Assist with installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in both multi-family residential and commercial buildings
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings (2nd to 4th year)
  • Troubleshoot plumbing issues and learn to diagnose system failures.
  • Follow safety protocols and company procedures on job sites
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area
  • Attend required technical training and work towards Red Seal certification.
  • Other duties as required
  • Ability to adhere to company guidelines for installations, quality control procedures & maintaining our expectations for quality workmanship
  • Required to complete Field Level Hazard Assessments daily
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
  • Registered apprentice with the Alberta Industry Training (AIT) or willing to register
  • Previous plumbing or construction experience is an asset, but is not required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools
  • Willingness to learn and take direction
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and following regulations
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting and climbing
  • Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certification
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
Working Conditions

This role is primarily conducted at construction or renovation sites, which may include both commercial and multi-family locations. Frequent travel to job sites within Calgary and surrounding area is required.
