Job summary

Marketing.com is seeking an Operator 1 in Canada to complete tasks related to the accurate and timely completion of orders using a variety of desktop publishing equipment under the direction of the Prepress Lead.

This entry-level position provides on-the-job training for skill development, including evaluating customer files and learning new techniques on specific procedures. The role requires willingness to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or equivalent.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• Requires strong understanding of composition and prepress operations.
• Previous experience or training in computer-to-plate technology preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business materials and to write simple reports.

Responsibilities

• Uses various desktop publishing and proprietary software to prepare customer files for printing.
• Reviews work orders for conformity to instructions.
• Coordinates customer supplied art with sales for each order.
• Communicates order problems with supervisor and sales staff.
• Advices customers on format and technical issues for best quality printing.
• Documents order actions and customer contacts clearly. Follows procedures.
