Position Summary

The maintenance mechanic is responsible for keeping the equipment in the ClimateMaster plant in good operating condition by performing preventative maintenance, machine tests, troubleshooting, resolving technical issues, and performing emergency repairs.

Essential Functions

  • Installation and assembly of new machines and equipment
  • Maintaining a schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery
  • Diagnosing and repairing machine failures
  • Installing replacement parts
  • Using power tools and hand tools to execute maintenance tasks and work orders
  • Following industry best practices and safety guidelines
  • Controlling downtime by informing production staff of routine preventive maintenance and monitoring compliance
  • Logging maintenance work performed
  • Documenting actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs to maintain team continuity
  • Providing mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests
  • Conducting and documenting regular facility inspections
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes

Skills & Abilities

Education : High School Diploma or GED. Vocational training in Electronics, Electrical, HVAC, controls, or similar fields is preferred.

Experience : Experience as a commercial / industrial service technician or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
