About the Opportunity

Harmac Pacific currently has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Steam Plant Shift Supervisor/Engineer to join our 380,000 tonne per year pulp mill in Nanaimo, BC. As a Steam Plant Shift Supervisor/Engineer, you will supervise the shift operating crews that operate the plant’s Recovery and Power boilers, along with Power Generation Turbines and the Effluent Treatment plant.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have a 2^nd Class Power Engineering certificate of qualification and should have a background working in heavy industry. Well-developed interpersonal skills, a demonstrated track record of building a cooperative work environment, and the ability to manage change in the workplace are important attributes for this position.

Along with your qualifications, you will be a proven performer who is excited about contributing to the business as a whole. You should bring strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
