About the role

Join the Technology and Business Transformation sector as a Software Engineer - MS D365 Finance & Operations, where next-generation software applications are developed to enable CMHC to achieve its mission. You will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative software solutions, acting as a key contact for stakeholders to ensure business requirements are understood and met, while supporting continuous improvement through CMHC’s ERP system.

What you’ll do :
  • Be CMHC’s expert on the MS D365 Finance & Operations platform, guiding and mentoring other developers.
  • Collaborate with the client community to determine system needs, document processes, and advise on solutions and impacts.
  • Author technical specifications and diagrams for solutions.
  • Design and implement MS D365 Finance & Operations solutions according to requirements, ensuring high-quality, scalable code.
  • Configure integrations with other CMHC systems, such as Microsoft D365 CRM, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and APIs.
  • Participate in testing, defect resolution, and deployment activities.
  • Stay updated on new Dynamics 365 features, best practices, and industry trends to improve system capabilities.
What you should have :
  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a software developer, with strong experience in MS D365 Finance & Operations and X++ development.
  • Ability to establish and apply development best practices.
  • Passion for technology and motivation driven by technical challenges and innovation.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Experience leading and mentoring junior developers, performing code reviews.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment, solving complex problems, and managing challenging projects.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and business skills, including communication, facilitation, and negotiation.
Technologies :
  • Knowledge of Dynamics interoperability and integration with Microsoft cloud technologies.
  • Experience with Visual Studio, .Net (C#), and X++ development.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git, SQL, and relational databases.
  • Experience with Azure platform, Azure Functions, and Logic Apps.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform.
Preferred :
  • A Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Certification.
