Job summary

CKHA in Chatham-Kent, Ontario is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse for the Operating Room. The position is temporary regular part-time, from November 1, 2026 to August 1, 2027, with a salary range of $37.24 - $38.19 per hour.

Applicants must hold RPN with Ontario College of Nurses, BCLS, and an OR course; minimum 2 years OR experience and 1 year surgical experience within the last 3 years. Strong asepsis knowledge and computer skills are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Current Certification of Competence as a Registered Practical Nurse with the Ontario College of Nurses.
• RPN Diploma preferred.
• Current BCLS certification.
• OR course from a Community College or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years current OR experience (within the past 3 years).
• Minimum 1 year recent surgical experience (within the past 3 years).
• Knowledge of asepsis principles.
• Computer skills: Intranet, Microsoft Office, Care Manager, STAR, Solcom, Risk Monitor Pro.
• Practice level aligns with CNO's full scope of practice including blood products management.
