2627828 Alberta Ltd. dba Cosmos Ceramic Dental Lab is looking for F/T Dental Laboratory Assistant

Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

Wage: $35.00~$38.00/hour (depending on experience)

Number of Positions: 1

Vacation: 10 days paid vacation per year

Job Duties:

1. Prepare plaster models and moulds from dental impressions
2. Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays
3. Cast gold or metal alloys for bridges and denture bases
4. Pack plastic material in moulds to form full or partial dentures
5. Mould wax over denture setups to create the full contours of artificial gums
6. Finish the metal framework of dentures and polish and buff dentures to obtain a natural finish
7. Fabricate orthodontic bands from metals such as gold, silver, or stainless steel
8. Polish teeth and clinical crowns and apply fluoride and sealant
9. Take X-rays to assess patients’ oral health, and prepare dental instruments and filling materials as needed
10. Fabricate and place temporary crowns and restorations

Job Requirements:

1. Experience: 1~2 years of experience in dental technology industry is required
2. Education: Completion of secondary school is required
