Lakeridge Health Oshawa & Ajax-Pickering is seeking an Endoscopy SPD Aide to support the Surgical Program on a regular part-time basis. The role encompasses reprocessing, high-level disinfection and storage of all flexible endoscopes, following CSA and CSGNA guidelines.
You will monitor quality control tests, maintain the endoscope leasing program, and record equipment information. Cleaning and terminal cleanup of endoscopy equipment are performed at the end of each shift, with PPE required.

The SPD Endoscopy Technician is responsible for the reprocessing; high level disinfection and storage of all flexible endoscopes. The successful candidate will follow the recommended practices of the CSGNA and the CSA. You will be responsible for monitoring biological tests required for Quality Control; maintaining the endoscope leasing program; monitoring and recording all information concerning the equipment; and terminal cleaning of endoscopy equipment at the end of your shift. Other duties as assigned.
Personal Protective Equipment must be worn while performing the duties of an SPD Endoscopy Technician.
