Nisga’a School District 92 is seeking Teaching On Call (TOC) staff to support K-12 teaching across Nisga’a School District. TOCs provide instructional coverage when regular teachers are absent, ensuring continuity of learning and adherence to district goals.
Applicants should hold Grade 12 Graduation and may have further post-secondary qualifications. This on-call role requires travel as needed within the Nass Valley region and residency considerations.

School District No. 92 (Nisga’a) is accepting applications for K-12 Teaching on Call. Non-certified teachers must have a minimum of Grade 12 Graduation with further education and training being desirable. TOC’s will be placed on call for all district schools; therefore travel will be required depending on residency location. There are no scheduled times for the shortlist/interview process as the intake is ongoing.
Located in the Nass Valley in Northwestern British Columbia, the Nisga’a School District encompasses the traditional treaty territory of the Nisga’a Nation.
Teaching On Call (TOC) is an important role in maintaining continuity of learning across the Nisga’a School District by providing instructional support when regular classroom teachers are absent. TOC’s uphold the district’s commitment to student success, cultural responsiveness, and inclusive education.
