Job summary

British Columbia Public School Employers' Association | Make a Future - Careers in BC Education is seeking a Relief Personal Attendant to support students with autism at David Hoy Elementary. The role runs 5.5 hours per day, five days a week, starting as soon as possible until the regular employee returns.

The successful candidate will assist teachers and collaborate with the school team, acting as an advocate for students while ensuring safety and confidentiality in the classroom.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate).
• Completion of an Education Assistant Certificate Program.
• Completion of POPARD program (30 hours).
• BC Driver's License - Class 5 Full Privileged with an exemplary driving record as demonstrated by a current driver's abstract.
• WHMIS 2015 Certificate and familiarity with WorkSafeBC safety procedures.
• 6 months of experience working with people with behavioral disorders.
• Criminal Record Check through the CRRP (required)
