The City of Maple Ridge is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Policy and Legal Advisor to join our Legislative Services team. Reporting to the Director of Legislative Services, this role provides confidential research, analysis, and administration support for bylaws, policies, contracts, agreements, insurance claims, and legal matters. The successful candidate will play a key role in researching, interpreting, drafting and reviewing while applying a legal lens to bylaws, policies and agreements, supporting departmental initiatives focused on continuous improvement. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the effective governance of the City while leveraging your expertise in municipal policy, legislative drafting, and legal coordination.
A degree in business, law, political science, local government administration or public administration plus three years of related policy development and administration experience, or an equivalent combination of directly related education, training, and experience.
This is a temporary full-time for approximately eighteen (18) months which may be concluded at any time.
