Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre (TBRHSC) is a 423 bedacute care teaching hospital. TBRHSC
provides care to patients from across Northwestern Ontario. TheClinical Pharmacist Specialist (CPS) will be
responsible for clinical pharmacy key performance indicatorsincluding but not limited to medication reconciliation,
developing and initiating pharmaceutical care plans, resolvingdrug therapy problems, participation in
interprofessional patient care rounds and collaboration, patienteducation, and dispensary related work. CPS will be
committed to quality improvement processes, mentorship, educationand perform critical decision making regarding
medication management. The CPS will be under the generalsupervision of the Pharmacy Manager.
Preference will be given to Clinical Pharmacist Specialists,however if there are no qualified applicants, Clinical
Pharmacists with an Honors Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy will beconsidered.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience:
* Doctor of Pharmacy or
* Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy with Accredited CanadianPharmacy Residency (ACPR) or
* Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy with 2 years of relevant acutecare hospital pharmacist experience
* Must be Registered Pharmacist Part A with Ontario College of Pharmacists
* Clinical Pharmacist Specialist preferred however if there are noqualified candidates, Clinical Pharmacist with an
Honours Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy will be considered
Skills/Abilities:
* Excellent interpersonal and interprofessional teamwork skills
* Excellent time management and organizational skills
* Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Demonstrated good work performance and attendance record
Assets:
* Previous acute care hospital pharmacist experience
Salary Range: $65.300 to 69.150
