Reporting to the Charge Technologist, the Diagnostic MedicalSonographer performs medical imaging procedures to

aid in patient diagnosis or treatment within the regulatorystandards of practice. Assists the Radiologist during

diagnostic procedures. Assesses the patient's condition prior to,during and after procedures, recognizing the

conditions requiring immediate attention and initiating aresponse. Documents procedures and maintains accurate

records. Observes and understands hospital and departmentalpolicies and procedures. Maintains and protects

patient confidentiality and safety. Performs other duties relatedto the job classification, as required.

Qualifications:

* Must be registered or eligible to be registered with College ofMedical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of

Ontario (CMRITO)

* Must have graduated from a recognized college program in generaldiagnostic medical sonography

* Registered with Sonography Canada or Ontario Association ofMedical Radiation Sciences an asset

* Vascular Credentials would be an asset

Salary Range: $36.840 to 51.770
