Neonatal Intensive Care Unit & Paediatric Inpatient Unit

**Candidates must be willing to work in both Neonatal Intensive Care and Paediatric Inpatient Units, with Neonatal ICU as their home unit.**

Reporting to the Manager of Neonatal Intensive Care and Maternity Centre, you will provide quality nursing care to patients, including complex populations with unpredictable outcomes. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will practice within the Professional Standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario, the philosophy of patient and family-centered care, and the policies of Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

Applicants must have the following qualifications:

  • Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario, or the ability to become licensed
  • Current certification in BCLS
  • Recent neonatal nursing experience, including care of preterm infants, post-resuscitation stabilization, and critically ill infants
  • Experience with cardio-respiratory monitoring in a critical care setting
  • Ability to apply the Nursing Process for individualized care planning and delivery
  • Ability to recognize abnormal patient responses and take appropriate action
  • Ability to manage multiple nursing interventions simultaneously
  • Strong communication and interprofessional skills
  • Central Venous Line Management skills

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Certification or recent education in neonatal, paediatric, or perinatal nursing, PALS, ENPC, or lactation support

Salary Range: $39.07 to $56.00 per hour
