An established healthcare provider seeks a skilled Network Specialist to oversee the deployment and maintenance of critical network infrastructure. This role involves ensuring efficient operation of switches, routers, and servers, while providing tier-3 support to IT staff. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in network hardware and protocols, alongside experience with Linux and Windows Server operating systems. Reporting to the Manager of Network Operations, the Network Specialist role is to ensure the infrastructure and corporate computer systems are deployed and maintained effectively and efficiently. This includes all devices within the network infrastructure. The Network Specialist participates and leads in maintaining all switches, routers, wiring plants, and servers, including all connectivity to remote, regional, government, and Internet connections.
The Network Specialist will plan and implement all installs, upgrades, patches to servers, switches, and operating systems to minimize downtime for the systems that serve the organization. Additionally, the Network Specialist provides tier-3 support to other IT staff and customers.
Salary Range: $45,351 to $53,354.
