1 ‑ Casual ‑ Assistant Biller

Finance Patient Billings

Under the general direction of the Coordinator ‑ PatientBilling, the Assistant Biller is responsible for reviewing all

accounts eligible for bills to ensure completeness and accuracy ofall charges. The incumbent assists in the printing

and mailing of bills, claims, statements, patient letters includingposting of any manual charge slips as well as other

duties as may be assigned regarding data entry, reports and recordretention. The Assistant Biller provides general

office and cashier relief assisting the Cashiers as well as theBillers where possible to facilitate the office in the billing

and collection function. The critical success factor for thisposition is expediency and accuracy in preliminary bill

review and cooperation and productivity in providing overall anddesignated assistance to the office.

Qualifications:

* Minimum Secondary School Graduation Diploma or equivalent

* Proven speed, accuracy and proficiency in performingcalculations and keyboarding

* Proficiency in personal computer applications, Excel and Wordin a networked Windows environment

* Excellent organizational skills for task completion andprioritization to meet deadlines under pressure and achieve

performance standards related to billing

* Excellent oral and written communication skills, including pleasantdisposition, tact and ability to communicate

effectively with patients and others

* Must be bondable

* Previous experience or knowledge of hospital computer systemspreferred

Salary Range: $25.528 to 26.178
